Creamy Chilli Chicken Pasta
Another tasty dish which everyone seemed very excited about when we posted a picture online earlier this week.
It is easy to make and even contains a bit of flambe for those that are brave enough to try.
Prep time: 10
Cooking Time: 20
Two Chicken Breasts
2 Bell peppers
3 cloves of garlic
Rosemary, thyme and sage seasoning
Homemade tomato sauce recipe (or substitute with your favourite shop-bought one)
Alcohol at 40% (optional)
As we always start, wash your vegetables! Cut all your vegetables now, making it easier to just throw them in the pan as we go.
Sautee your onion and garlic with some olive oil, until they are translucent. Add the peppers to the pan. Dice the chicken. Remove the veg once the peppers have begun to cook. Put the pan on high heat, adding some more oil. Cook the chicken until brown and then returning the
Here is the optional step of flambee the ingredients, heat the 1-2 shots of alcohol, we used Hennessy's cognac. Heat the alcohol in a small pot until warm, then add it to the pan. Using a match carefully, light the alcohol. Please be careful with the flame. This step is for more experienced home chefs. (we are not liable for any damages or injuries. Be safe people.)
The flambe option adds a nice smokiness to the meal but it is not necessary. The alcohol is not needed if you do not take this option!
We now add cream, chilli and ginger seasoning (your heat preference, we used hot) and the rosemary, thyme and sage seasoning to the mix and bring it to a boil. Add tomato sauce, around 500ml to the pan and heat thoroughly. Cook your pasta until it is almost al dente, drain and add to the sauce for a perfect pasta.
Plate your pasta finishing with some parmesan cheese on top!
